Matej Kozub has studied at Conservatory in Bratislava with distinction as a "Best absolvent of the year of wind department", University of Music and Drama in Vienna - clarinet,  with prof. Alfred Prinz and prof. Ernst Ottensamer (both of them are members of Vienna Philharmonic), after that followed one year stay at Sibelius Academy in Helsinki with with Ilkka Teerijoki.

He is absolvent of international master classes in Czech: JAMU Brno with Milan Etlík, French-Czech music academy in Telč with Michael Lethiec, Austria: ISA Mozarteum Salzburg with Alfred Prinz, ISA Prag-Wien-Budapest Austria with Jiří Hlaváč and Alfred Prinz, Masterclass seminars of Music University in Vienna with Howard Klug and Francois Benda.

Matej Kozub is prize holder from several international competitions: Diploma for outstanding performance at Jeunnesses Musicales competition in Bucharest - Romania, second prize at International competition of contemporary music Krzystof Penderecki in Cracow - Poland, first prizes in solo and chamber music category and Absolut winner of competition of music students and young professionals in London - United Kingdom, third prize at International clarinet competition „Giacomo Mensi“, Breno - Italy. He become also dilomas for outstanding performances of Contemporary Austrian music OESTIG Prize, Vienna classic music prize, Prize for outstanding performance of music by Gottfried von Einem, Bohuslav Martinů, L. v. Beethoven and Alban Berg  at International Summer Academy Prag-Wien-Budapest in Austria. He is also holder of prestigeous WANAS scholarship of Vienna Philharmony.

He performed as soloist and chamber musician in many countries: Slovakia, Czech, Austria, Hungary, Poland, Ukraine, Italy, Russia, Chile, China, Serbia, Estonia, Finland, United Kingdom, Switzerland,  Bulgaria and Germany. Solo performances were held with Ensemble of Academic Symphony Orchestra St. Petersburg - Russia ,Wiener-Concert-Verein – Austria, Donauphilharmonie Wien - Austria, Sinfonietta dell´Arte – Austria/Slovakia, Slovak Sinfonietta, B. Martinu Philharmony Zlin – Czech, Sinfonietta Sofia and Vidin Philharmony – Bulgaria, Eurochestries Japan Symphony Orchestra, I. Pleyel Youth Symphony Orchestra – Austria, Orchestra of the Swan - Austria.

Together with artistic and performing activities has Matej was  organizing international seminars and workshops of classical and contemporary music and music education. Mr. Kozub was 1999 – 2005 director of contemporary music project Music without borders in the heart of Europe where in six years were studied and performed several tenths of contemporary music pieces composed and performed by young people. Participants ot this project came from 24 different countries of the world. In 2007-2013 was director of international festival "Ars Camera" in Slovakia and 2008 – 2016 director of chamber symphony orchestra Sinfonietta dell´Arte, where he is also a permanent soloist. Matej Kozub is regulary member of jury at international competitions.
